Adorbs.
Oh. Em. Gee. Where do I begin!? EEEEEEEEEEEEK
Any of you who know me, knows how much I absolutely ADORE pugs. I live the pug life...and I am a firm believer that they are like potato chips you cannot have just one. Besides being the cutest things that ever graced Gods green earth...they are just the sweetest most loving, smush faced, lovie pants creatures I have ever met in my life. When I see them...I pee a little..that is how excited I get.
Eh..moving on :)
So the 16th Annual Pug Gala was June 18 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Washington. This was the first year that it was held there, normally they are held in Magnuson Park in Seattle, but something happened and they were not able to obtain the space this year. Oh well works for me, Monroe is closer for me anyway!
So Sully and I woke up, I took myself out to the Grange in Duvall, for breakfast. Sidenote..if you haven't even there..GO. RIGHT. NOW. You think I am kidding..but I am not. GO. They are amazing, they are sweet, and they use all local and mostly organic ingredients. And besides all that, everything just tastes amazing. Hot chocolate....best one I have ever had...it even has cinnamon homemade whip cream. Yeah right? You just went 6 to midnight. Don't lie to me.
Heaven
Anyways, after then Sully and I made our way to the Gala. It is $10.00 to get in, which is totally fine, because it all goes to support pug rescue anyway. It is just a super fun event for lovers of pugs. They have several vendors, that sell things that cater to pugs. Everything from toys, leashes, collars, paintings, even puppy massage! They even had a pug psychic there. They have a little booth that just goes over the organization and all that they stand for. It is just awesome. And then of course to be surrounded by pugs. Just love it.
So we went a little bit later in the afternoon because I wanted to be sure to catch the pug races. They were so funny...first were the pugs ages 0-9..which most of those pugs took off like a flash...in the pics that I took, they are a blur.
Then the next category was senior citizen pugs. They all casually walked to their owners..Sully and I sat in the stands, and watched. The people below us, kept saying that Sully should go out there, because with her long legs, she would win. They were sweet, but unfortunately, it was just me and you needed 2 people to do the pug races.
On your Marks..get...set..
GO!
Sully got to interact with lots of different pugs, and she was on her best behavior that day. We got a few cookies from this local bakery (dog cookies of course, one was a heart shaped cookie, the other was a biscotti), yes, I buy my pup biscotti...and she picked them out. Judge me I dare you :)
Then after that we donated some more money and spun this wheel and then Sully could pick out some prizes, she got more cookies, and a toy. Fun stuff, all for a good cause..
Here are a few pics from the event:
I will post later when my computer isnt being a C waffle.
Okay...back again..here are more pics from the event!
Some of the pugs available for adoption. I want them. Notice the pug sitting on the other one. LOVES
Sully is my world...and I love her so much and just want to do fun things with her. I love our "mother/daughter days" she makes me complete.
Oh the Pug Gala! Yay! I definitely have not been to The Grange yet... did you see Davy there? Last I heard he was the cook down yonder...
ReplyDeleteMissing you bunches! :)
