Lazy day at the beach

So it has been pretty warm in Oregon this July, not as hot as it normally is...but hot for this albino Norski..nonetheless!! I have been spending my weekends, garage saling it up....and then trying to spend as much time as possible at the beach. It is kind of difficult..because there are not very many beaches in Oregon...and the good ones that do, Sully cannot come. Which is LAME.

So yesterday, I went to the fruit stand here by my house to pick up some fresh peaches so I can make peach gelato. Whats that you say? You just came? Yeah me too. So ventured to the fruit stand because I had gone here about a week prior, and they told me that peaches would be in season in about a week. Okay, cool. I clearly have been wanting to make this peach gelato recipe FOREVER. So ventured back to the fruit stand, and lo and behold. NO PEACHES! Seriously!? Who do I have to blow to get fresh peaches around here!?!
Don't answer that.
Anyway, she said that something happened with the "peach crop" *Insert immature giggle* and they won't be ready for at least ANOTHER WEEK. Well momma needs her gelato. So, decided to go to Roths and pick some up instead. Not what I wanted to do. But desperate times, call for desperate measures.
So picked up the peaches, and then got to work on my gelato. Clearly I didn't read the recipe beforehand or else I would have done things a little bit differently, but the gelato mixture has to refrigerate for 12 hours!? HONESTLY!?
I was so upset.
So WHATEVER, its fine, who needs peach gelato?
So spent the night sitting in a corner, sucking my thumb, rocking back and forth silently.
Believe it if you wish.
The song, peaches and cream may have come up on my ipod. RUDE. So insensitive. Anyways.
Pics of the day, Sorry none of Peaches or Gelato. LAME.

The next day, woke up and the sun was shining through my windows.
The day of reckoning had arrived! HALLEJUAH!
I made Peach Gelato! AMAZING!
And then decided to head to the river in Independence so Sully and I could cool off. We just hung out, and laid in the sun. There was a family next to us at the river that kept splashing us, and Sully and I were not having it, so we left after a little while, but it was still good to be in the river.

Then we came home, BBQed, and then got ready for the week.
