4th of July weekend...my oh my where do I begin!!?

So on Friday the 1st, after work, I packed up the old Yari Yari, my girls and hit the road. By this time it was around 11:00 pm...no big deal right? How long does it take me to get to Washington? Yeah...like 5 hours. Its fine. I stopped at Dutchy to get my usual, and the guy there always laughs at me, and jokes with me, when I go late night, he is like oh must be going to Washington...had a hard time getting packed eh? Hah yes yes, very funny dutchy man. VERY. FUNNY. The only thing humorous about this, is you flirting with me, thinking it will get you a tip. Yeah. NO.
Anyway, made it to the Fort Lewis area, and get a series of texts from my friend Chris, they go something like this,
"Wait are you still up at this hour?"
"What are you doing right now?"
Me: I sure am...I am driving home silly.
Chris: Pick me up in Redmond Please.

I didn't respond for a bit, and then he calls me, and says that he is drunk and he needs a ride home. If I don't come and pick him up, he will be forced to spend the night in his car. My thought is...why did your friends leave you in your car? Hmm Weird..Iwas getting close to Redmond at this point, so I told him that I would. When I finally got to Bella Bottega parking lot, sure enough he was passed out in his car. He kept saying, " I didn't think you would come" Well yeah..I told you I would fool, AND..I didn't want you stomped by any Redmond Gangs... they come out at night.
Or maybe that is just Batman. Eh. I digress.
So I warn him that in my car, we listen to what I like,..so we proceed to listen to Disney magic songs, Kings of Leon, and why of course, the goofy movie sound track!! It was a good time, we just laughed, and sang.. it was a grand old time...good to see him because I havent' seen him in oh like a year...so it was good.
We were listening to Kings of Leon, "Sex on Fire" and he was like "this is the best song about Gonorrhea EVER. Hah thanks Chris, I never thought of it like that, but now that you mention it, I always will. Awesome.
He also had a Disney Karaeoke CD in his car, which he gave me...thanks for the present Chris!! I won't ask why you have this..but just graciously accept this gift of your gratitude.

The next morning I woke up and went to Starbucks, and visited with my cousins a bit. Went to Bellevue Square, went to Express, and looked at long boards at Zumiez, PacSun Etc...
Went to Matador afterwards for chips, and nachos :) AMAZING of course.
Then we went back to my house and watched a moooovie...THEN, I drove to my moms house to watch my mums dogs..Magnum and Shasta...They are such dears, they make me so happy...I have so much love in my heart for them. Of course Sully was beside herself because she was so excited to see them. It was really bittersweet in a way...I love looking after them when my parents are gone...they went to see RUSH...BOOO I really wanted to go..but alas..no funds. DAMN ME and my COMPULSIVE SHOPPING. BOO.
But it was hard because Magnum is sick, and I Know it is probably one of the last times, I will get to spend the night with them, and wake up with his paw punching me in the face...although unpleasant..I will miss it, I really will. I love him so much...he is my brother..and ahh I can't talk about that right now. Anyway, some pics of the night :)

Then on Sunday, I woke up early, and went and got materials to make some homemade ice cream for the BBQ that I was going to, later on in the day! I decided to make mint oreo ice cream! Soo...did that, then drove home, to make said ice cream. After I made the ice cream, I ventured to the city of fall, to hang with my seesters! Carly and Kristine, I miss these girls SOOOO freaking much, you have no idea. Kristy has made the journey Oregon down a few times to see me, but I hadn't seen Carly in what felt like forever!! We used to all work together at the ol CU.

But it was a beautiful day, and we were all getting really excited for the 4th of July parade the very next day. Seester and I, were most excited to see Big Red...You know the one? She is a country line dancer she is in the parade EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. No joke...she just gets so into it, with her little mom jeans, and her little boogie shoes with the tassle. She is always there whipping her hair around like the little sexpot that she is.

Anyways, after the BBQ, I went and decided to pick strawberries at Harvold Farms. I dropped off my leftover ice cream, at Jasons house, so when he got back in from working, he would have a nice tasty treat. Too bad it was all melted by the time I got there...whatevs its the thought that counts right!?! After that, I went and picked the berries of straw! It was so much fun!! It was just me, but kind of relaxing! I picked a whole mess of berries...pics of course to come shortly..since again.my computer is a douche.

Afterwards, I went and met up wtih my friend Alicia at Red Robin to catch up and have some dessert of course! We had so much to talk about..annd it was SOO nice to catch up and stuff, super fun!! We went to school together, and ALSO, worked at the CU together...so much has happened to both of us, since last we talked...for one..Ahem...SHE GOT MARRIED!? So it was so good to see her and catch up. Anyways though, after that..I went home to my papas fritas house..and went to bed. So tired!

Then the day of reckoning had arrived! It was the 4th of July!!! EEEK! So...I got Sham all gussied up in her 4th of July Best, and we went to the parade! Where we met up with her father, Jason and his family. We got to see none other then big red herself. Kristy and I were beside ourselves with glee. The only thing that could have made this more exciting, was A.) If KrazY Library Kirsten was there, and B.) If our friends the Chinese drill team decided to make an appearance. No tomato. Damn maybe I will write them a letter? I beg you to come back to Carnation...your biggest fans are here..aka Kristy and Becki.
Anyway, so met up with Kristy, and Ken Lamar at the parade, unfortunately we did not get to watch the parade with them..but it was fun just to see them and catch up. Towards the end, Big Red came prancing down the streets of Carnation kicking up her little boogie shoes with the tassles, and her mom jeans, and a skinny belt. She was lookin good, red hair swinging in the breeze. For those of you dont know...Big Red, is a country line dancer girl, that has seriously been in this 4th of July parade, since I can remember...this girl gets SOOOO into her dancing..it is quite hysterical. I am not sure why she "Big" red..because she is not big...but she does have long red hair, that she lets flow so she can whip her hair back and forth while she is boot scoot boogying...Haha I have got to stop with the song innuendos. I can't stop...Won't stop Rockafella records..

Anyways, so after the parade, went and had a family bbq. It was fun, we played frisbee, and the dogs got to run all around..it was quite entertaining. After then, I had to make my way back to the dirty dirty of Oregon..
UGH.
I didn't even get to stay and watch the fireworks, that we normally do. :( BOO
But I did get quite the show on my drive back home. Probably the best fireworks show, because as I made the 5 hour drive..I got to see everyones fireworks. Baby your a firework...come on let your colors burst...make you go AH AH AH As you shoot across the sky I I I....

Anyways got home UBER late...and then had to go to work the next morn. Yay. No. Not really.
